Our children will be…Questioners

Science is curiosity in action, and through it, our endless search enables our collective knowledge to grow. It is a process that we follow to test and falsify our ideas. By doing this, children find out that sometimes, the explanation they thought would be true, is absolutely wrong. Lessons enable our children to begin to explain the physical world. Everyone can use Science, it is not just for top scientists studying black holes!

We study Science to explain existence, causation, relationship and interaction. Through the study of Science, we can understand the causes of pollution, disease and climate change and then attempt to fix them. Good scientists should exhibit these traits: curiosity, honesty, willingness to be wrong and make mistakes, an open mind, ask good questions and scepticism.

As Carl Sagan said, “Science is a way of thinking, sceptically interrogating the universe.”
