Year 6 Leavers’ Fest
2020 has been a very strange year, not much to celebrate and everything cancelled. My last year in Sacred Heart was not going to be the usual excitement and right of passage, no leavers prom, no play, and no trip to Oaklands!! We thought we would have no special memories of our last days at Sacred Heart but………….. Miss Barrow and Miss Elcome were not going to let that happen!!!!
We were told the teachers were planning something special for us all to celebrate together, we were so excited. Our surprise was “Leavers Fest”, and it was going to be amazing. It was so amazing the BBC news found out all about it and asked if they could come and join in with our special day, I was one of five lucky pupils who got to come in to the festival early to be interviewed by the BBC news, we arrived at 7.45am and could not believe what all the teachers had done for us so much work had gone it to getting leavers fest ready for us to enjoy and to be made a fuss off. I was interviewed along with lots of my friends and even got to Tik Tok on National TV. Our Leavers Fest had everything you want from a festival and so much more, we had live music from Ian Cowell (Insanity Beach), which we all sang along and danced to, ice cream vans, pop corn and so many activities to enjoy and we all got a special festival gift bag. It was the best day, we were made to feel so special and I got to make so many memories with my friends from Sacred Heart. Although it was not the usual end of primary school celebrations, I think they were the best ever and that is all down to Miss Barrow and Miss Elcome and all the teachers at Sacred Heart
A DAY I WILL NEVER FORGET.
